Perhaps someone could send this to officials in Washington, Baltimore, Chicago, and St Louis. Somehow it addresses important issues they presently overlooked.
The Roots of Violence:
- Wealth without work,
- Pleasure without conscience,
- Science without humanity,
- Knowledge without character,
- Politics without principle,
- Commerce without morality,
- Worship without sacrifice
Is it possible to put a check-mark beside all seven?
Gandhi died in 1948 so it is not like any of this should be new for us. Despite the thought, it appears that society today is multitasking all of the conditions.
Possibly the promised violence should not surprise us; or maybe Gandhi is wrong.
