Happy New Year

2017 has finally appeared and being an odd numbered year, it is likely to be wonderful.

Over the years I have learned that my brain does not process negative thoughts very well. “Do not do stupid things” is a poor resolution and it will more probably lead to “Do stupid things.”  The brain fails to understand not. To quit smoking is an instruction your brain does not get.

Tell your brain what you want.  Positive statements.  I want new clients leads somewhere.  I want to lose weight does not.

So the resolutions become:

  • Meet interesting people and help them understand the opportunity they may have regarding their estate life insurance.
  • Gain thin.
  • Laugh more often.
  • Take a chance.

Relate your resolutions to an organizing principle that is the focus of your life.  Attitude is a key part of that. Consider this John Maxwell thought:

“Attitude is the first quality that marks the successful man. If he has a positive attitude and is a positive thinker, who likes challenges and difficult situations, then he has half his success achieved.”

My wish for you and everyone is to have 2017 bring you success you can use productively. Let the year be exciting, joyful, prosperous and healthy.
