Have You Ever Seen A Floating Bridge?

Tanglefoot was a band, originally in Peterborough, who made dozens of original songs in the “traditional” format. They retired in 2009.

One of their songs immortalized a bridge I vaguely recall from my childhood. The floating bridge across Chemong Lake, just north of here. It was an engineering and construction marvel, yet it served for many years. You had to really want to cross the lake.

It was replaced by a causeway before 1960.
